ENG. Ernest Pignon-Ernest is one of the pioneers of international urban art. The outstanding illustrator’s images glued to the walls of cities reveal their history and contemporary issues. In 2015, on the 40th anniversary of Pasolini’s assassination, the artist undertakes a journey to the places of the poet’s life, work and death. What have we made of his death? In Rome, Matera and Naples, Ernest Pignon-Ernest addresses the inhabitants and passers-by by plastering on the walls an image drawn in black stone, a secular piéta in which Pasolini, with a stern look, carries his own lifeless body in his arms. “If I Come Back” (Se Torno) follows the existential journey of this image, from its genesis to its insertion into the daily reality of Italian cities. In this way, the film explores the permanence of Pasolini’s thought in the collective imagination and bears witness to the heartbreak it still induces today, 40 years after the night of November 2, 1975, when he was murdered on a beach in Ostia. Between fascination and denial, the image of Pasolini echoes in the people we met as a warning, a reminder to be aware and committed in our societies.

FR. Ernest Pignon-Ernest est l’un des pionniers de l’art urbain international. Dessinateur hors pair, ses images collées sur les murs des villes en révèlent l’histoire et les problématiques contemporaines. En 2015, à l’occasion du 40e anniversaire de l’assassinat de Pasolini, l’artiste entreprend un voyage sur les lieux de la vie, de l’œuvre et de la mort du poète. Qu’avons-nous fait de sa mort ? A Rome, à Matera et à Naples, Ernest Pignon-Ernest interpelle les habitants et les passants en collant sur les murs une image dessinée à la pierre noire, une piéta laïque dans laquelle Pasolini, au regard sévère, porte dans les bras son propre corps sans vie. « Si je reviens » suit le parcours existentiel de cette image, de sa genèse à son insertion dans la réalité quotidienne des villes italiennes. En cela, le film interroge la permanence de la pensée de Pasolini dans l’imaginaire collectif et témoigne du déchirement qu’il suscite encore aujourd’hui, 40 ans après cette nuit du 2 novembre 1975 où il fut assassiné sur une plage à Ostie. Entre fascination et déni, l’image de Pasolini résonne dans les personnes rencontrées comme un avertissement, un rappel à la lucidité et à l’engagement dans nos sociétés.

إرنست بينيون-إرنست هو أحد روّاد الفن الحضريّ الدوليّ. رسّام غير إعتياديّ، صوره الملصقة على جدران المدن تكشف عن التاريخ والقضايا المعاصرة. في عام ٢٠١٥، بمناسبة الذكرى الأربعين لاغتيال باسوليني، قام الفنان برحلة إلى الأماكن التي عاش فيها الشاعر وعمل ومات. ماذا فعلنا بشأن موته؟ في روما وماتيرا ونابولي، نادى إرنست بينيون-إرنست السكان والمارّة، ملصِقًا على الجدران صورة رسمها بالطبشور الأسود، وهي عبارة عن “بيتا دنيوية” يحمل فيها باسوليني، صاحب النظرة الحادة، جسده بين ذراعيه بدون حياة. يتبع فيلم “إذا عدت” الرحلة الوجودية لهذه الصورة، منذ نشأتها وحتى إدراجها في الواقع اليوميّ للمدن الإيطالية. هنا، يسائل هذا الفيلم عن استمرار فكر باسوليني في الخيال الجماعيّ، ويشهد على الحزن الذي لا يزال يثيره، بعد ٤٠ عامًا من تلك الليلة في ٢ نوفمبر ١٩٧٥ عندما اغتيل على أحد الشواطئ في أوستيا. بين الانبهار والإنكار، يتردّد صدى صورة باسوليني لدى الأشخاص المصادَفين، كتحذير وتذكير بالوضوح والالتزام في مجتمعاتنا
