ENG. On 8 April 1973, one of the XXth century’s greatest geniuses passed away, namely Pablo Picasso. Then started an incredible inventory of the work left by the Spanish painter in his 11 residences. Close to 50.000 works of art have thus been discovered such as drawings, paintings, sculptures, ceramics… All of them reveal an aspect of the artist’s private life: portraits of the women of his life, of his legitimate children and the others…
Thanks to the words of his relatives, family records and exclusive footage, this film traces three years of this exceptional inventory and reveal the portrait of a secret Picasso and his multifaceted work.

FR. Le 8 avril 1973 s’éteignait un des plus grands génies de l’art du XXe siècle : Pablo Picasso. Commençait alors un incroyable inventaire de l’œuvre laissée par le peintre espagnol dans ses 11 résidences. Près de 50 000 œuvres vont ainsi être découvertes, dessins, peintures, sculptures, céramiques… Elles révèlent une part de la vie privée de l’artiste : portraits des femmes de sa vie, de ses enfants légitimes et des autres…
Grâce aux témoignages de ses proches, d’archives familiales, de documents filmés inédits, ce film retrace les 3 années de cet inventaire exceptionnel et dévoile le portrait d’un Picasso secret et de son œuvre multiforme.
