Lecture

ENG. René Magritte: a back-of-the-class dunce who threw firecrackers into the daily order of his childhood, but who later wanted to write like the teacher and paint like at school. In fact, this well-ordered petit-bourgeois hides a once turbulent and uncontrollable rebel, who channels his energies into a slow and methodical work of disrupting the relationship between word and thing, between objects and their elementary laws, to create a disturbed staging of our representation of the world. This is how he offers an array of trap-doors, backdrops, double bottoms and false mirrors in which our most solid evidences are endlessly trapped, one after the other. With carefully subversive intent, this philosopher of the image plays the trickster, hiding behind the windows of unreason he has opened for the greater freedom of our imaginings.

FR. René Magritte : un cancre du fond de la classe qui jette des pétards dans l’ordre quotidien de son enfance, mais qui, plus tard, voudra écrire comme l’instituteur et peindre comme à l’école. En fait, ce petit-bourgeois bien rangé cache un rebelle jadis turbulent et incontrôlable, qui saura canaliser ses énergies dans un travail lent et méthodique de dérèglement du rapport entre le mot et la chose, entre les objets et leur lois élémentaires, pour une mise en scène perturbée de notre représentation du monde. C’est ainsi qu’il nous offre une panoplie de chausse-trappes, de coulisses, de doubles fonds et de faux miroirs dans les quelles nos évidences les plus solides se trouvent piégées, les unes après les autres, à l’infini… Dans une intention soigneusement subversive, ce philosophe de l’image joue les escamoteurs en se cachant derrière les fenêtres de la déraison qu’il a ouvertes pour la plus grande liberté de nos imaginaires.

رينيه ماغريت: هو ذلك الكسول الذي يجلس على المقاعد الخلفية في الصف والذي يرمي الحصى في مياه طفولته الراكدة، ولكنه في ما بعد يشعر بالرغبة في الكتابة كمعلمٍ والرسم كما لو كان في المدرسة. في الواقع، يُخبّئ هذا البرجوازي الصغير المنظّم في داخله ثائرًا، كان في يومٍ من الأيام متمردًا يصعُب السيطرة عليه، يعرف كيف يوظّف طاقاته في عملٍ بطيءٍ ومنهجيٍ لزعزعة الرابط بين الكلمة والشيء، بين الأجسام وقوانينها الأساسية، حتى يقدّم صورةً مضطربةً عن الصورة التي نقدّم العالم من خلالها. إذ ذاك، يضعنا أمام مجموعةٍ من الفخاخ والكواليس والخلفيات المزدوجة والمرايا الزائفة التي توقع في شراكها كل حقيقةٍ نراها من المُسلّمات، الواحدة تلو الأخرى، وهكذا دواليك إلى ما لا نهاية… وبنيّةٍ هدّامةٍ مدروسةٍ، يلعب فيلسوف الصورة هذا دور المتلاعب، متخفيًا خلف نوافذ اللاعقلانية التي يشرّعها لتتحلى مخيّلتنا بحريةٍ أكبر.

Vincent Cartuyvels is a Belgian art historian, teacher and lecturer. He was a secondary school teacher at ENSAV La Cambre, at the Victor Horta architectural institute. Co-founder of the aggregation and professor of propaedeutics at La Cambre, and honorary director of the ESA LE 75 high school of the arts (Brussels). President of the CCAP (consultative commission of the plastic arts of the Fédération Wallonie/Bruxelles) from 2003 to 2009. He is an active member of Culture & Democracy, in the “culture and education” unit.
As such, it provides training in image pedagogy (arts and media) intended for adult teachers and mediators within the framework of educational and cultural institutions.

Vincent Cartuyvels est historien de l’art, enseignant et conférencier. Il a été professeur dans le secondaire, à l’ENSAV La Cambre, à l’institut d’architecture Victor Horta, en école normale et régendat. Co-fondateur de l’agrégation et professeur de propédeutique à La Cambre, et directeur honoraire de l’école supérieure des arts ESA LE 75 (Bruxelles). Président de la CCAP (commission consultative des arts plastiques de la Fédération Wallonie/Bruxelles) de 2003 à 2009. Il est membre actif de Culture & Démocratie, dans la cellule « culture et enseignement ».
A ce titre, il donne des formations à la pédagogie de l’image (arts et medias) destinées à des adultes professeurs et médiateurs dans le cadre de d’institutions scolaires et culturelles.

فينسان كارتيفال مؤرّخ فنّيّ وأستاذ ومحاضر. عمل أستاذًا في الصفوف الثانوية في المدرسة الوطنية العليا للفنون البصرية (ENSAV) La Cambre، وفي معهد فيكتور هورتا للهندسة المعمارية، سواء كان التدريس عاديًّا أو إعدادًا لاختصاص فنّيّ. هو عضو مؤسّس لشهادة التبريز، وأستاذ في الإعداد للدراسات المعمّقة propédeutique à La Cambre، ومدير فخريّ في المدرسة العليا للفنون ESA LE 75  (بروكسال). شغل منصب رئيس CCAP (اللجنة الاستشارية للفنون التشكيلية في Fédération Wallonie/Bruxelles) من عام ٢٠٠٣ حتى عام ٢٠٠٩. هو عضو ناشط في “ثقافة وديمقراطية”، ضمن خلية “ثقافة وتعليم”.
من هنا، فإنه يعطي دورات عن التربية من خلال الصورة (فنون وإعلام) موجّهة إلى معلّمين راشدين، ووسطاء ثقافيّين في إطار مؤسسات تربوية وثقافية.
