ENG. La Singla is a vibrant tribute to one of flamenco’s most iconic figures: Antonia Singla, born in Barcelona in 1948. The film delves into the life and career of the Spanish dancer whose legacy on contemporary dance continues to be celebrated. Through performances and personal recountings, the documentary reveals the power of flamenco as embodied by La Singla, while introducing her personal and professional journey.
FR. La Singla est un hommage vibrant à l’une des figures les plus emblématiques du flamenco : Antonia Singla, née à Barcelone en 1948. Le film explore la vie et la carrière de la danseuse espagnole dont l’héritage sur la danse contemporaine ne cesse d’être célébré. Entre performances et témoignages, le documentaire révèle la puissance du flamenco tel que l’a incarné La Singla, tout en introduisant son parcours personnel et professionnel.
لاسينغلا هو تكريم صاخبٌ لواحدةٍ من أكثر الشخصيات رمزيةً في عالم الفلامينكو: أنطونيا سينغلا، المولودة في برشلونة في العام 1948. يغوص الفيلم الوثائقي في حياة هذه الراقصة الإسبانية ومسيرتها، إذ لا نزال إلى اليوم نحتفي بإرثها من الرقص المعاصر. كما يكشف، من خلال العروض والشهادات الشخصية، مدى قوة الفلامنكو الذي قدّمته لاسينغلا، عارضًا رحلتها الشخصية والمهنية.

ENG. Paloma Zapata is a Spanish film author and director. With a degree in Fine Arts and a master in Creative Documentary, she founded in 2008 her production company in Barcelona: La Fábrica Naranja. She has developed a career as international music videos and music documentaries director, editor and producer. With a career always linked to music, her films are broadcast on Movistar+, Al Jazeera, TVE or TV3 and premiered at festivals such as BAFICI (Argentina) or Guadalajara (Mexico). In 2020 her film Peret: yo soy la rumba was nominated for the Gaudí Awards from the CatalanFilm Academy and received the award from the Ministry of Culture of Yalta. In 2022 she develops the documentary project La Singla (a Spanish-German co-production) that has participated in international laboratories and forums such as: San Sebastián (2021), Docs Barcelona (2020), DOK.FEST Munich (2022), Sunny Side of the Doc (2022) and got the first prize at Abycine LANZA (2021) and DocsValencia (2020).
FR. Paloma Zapata est une auteure et réalisatrice espagnole. Diplômée des Beaux-Arts et d’un master en documentaire créatif, elle a fondé en 2008 sa société de production à Barcelone : La Fábrica Naranja. Elle a fait carrière en tant que réalisatrice, monteuse et productrice de vidéoclips et de documentaires musicaux à l’échelle internationale. Avec une trajectoire toujours liée à la musique, ses films sont diffusés sur Movistar+, Al Jazeera, TVE ou TV3 et présentés en avant-première dans des festivals tels que BAFICI (Argentine) ou Guadalajara (Mexique). En 2020, son film Peret : yo soy la rumba est nominé pour les prix Gaudí de l’Académie du cinéma catalan et reçoit le Prix du ministère de la Culture de Yalta.En 2022, elle développe le projet documentaire La Singla (une coproduction hispano-allemande) qui a participé à des laboratoires et forums internationaux tels que : San Sebastián (2021), Docs Barcelona (2020), DOK.FEST Munich (2022), Sunny Side of the Doc (2022) et a obtenu le premier prix à Abycine LANZA (2021) et DocsValencia (2020).
بالوما زاباتا هي كاتبة ومخرجة إسبانية، تحمل شهادةً في الفنون الجميلة وماجستير في الأفلام الوثائقية الإبداعية. أسّست في العام 2008 شركة الإنتاج الخاصة بها في برشلونة ’لا فابريكا نرانخا‘. وقد عملت مخرجةً ومحررةً ومنتجةً للفيديوهات الموسيقية والأفلام الوثائقية على صعيدٍ عالمي. وقد عُرضت أفلامها، التي لم تنحرف يومًا عن المسار الموسيقي، على قنوات موفي ستار بلس والجزيرة وتي في إي و تي في 3 وحظيت بعرضٍ أولي في احتفالات عدّة، من بينها مهرجان بيونس آيرس الدولي للسينما المستقلة (الأرجتين) ومهرجان غودالاخارا (المكسيك). في العام 2020 رُشّح فيلمها بيريه: أنا الرومبا لجائزة غاوودي التي تمنحها أكاديمية السينما الكاتالونية وحصد جائزة وزارة الثقافة في يالطا. في العام 2022، انكبّت على مشروع الفيلم الوثائقي لاسيغلا (إنتاج إسباني ألماني) الذي شارك في العديد من ورشات العمل والمنتديات العالمية، مثل سان سيباستيان (2021) ودوكس برشلونة (2020) واحتفال دوك فيست في ميونخ (2022) ومنصّة صاني سايد أوف ذا دوك (2022) وحصد الجائزة الأولى في مهرجان أبيسين لانزا (2021) ومهرجان دوكس فالينسيا (2020).
