ENG. Created in 2023 by Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman, director of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games ceremony, Hammer is a contemporary dance show in two acts. The ballet illustrates the evolution of an idealistic community, inspired by the hippy movement, towards a world of surveillance and oppression. This musical and visual transition between two worlds is performed by 31 dancers from Göteborgs Operans Danskompani. Hammer fuses dance and theater, and offers a reflexive experience of community dynamics, proving that dance never ceases to reinvent itself, even today.

FR. Créée en 2023 par le chorégraphe suédois Alexander Ekman, metteur en scène de la cérémonie des Jeux Paralympiques de Paris 2024, Hammer est une danse contemporaine en deux actes. Le ballet illustre l’évolution d’une communauté idéaliste, inspirée du mouvement hippie, vers un monde de surveillance et d’oppression. Ce passage entre deux univers, tant musical que visuel, est interprété par 31 danseurs de la Göteborgs Operans Danskompani. Hammer fusionne danse et théâtre et nous offre une expérience réflexive autour des dynamiques communautaires, prouvant que la danse ne cesse de se réinventer, aujourd’hui encore.

هامرهو عرضٌ راقصٌ معاصر من فصلين، وضعه في العام 2023 مصمم الرقص السويدي ألكسندر إيكمان، مخرج حفل الألعاب البارالمبية في باريس 2024. يُظهر هذا العمل الراقص تطور البيئة المثالية المستوحاة من حركة الهيبيز، نحو عالمٍ من الرقابة والقمع. ويؤدي هذا المقطع الموسيقي والبصري بين عالمين، 31 راقصاً من فرقة أوبرا غوتبورغ دانسكومباني، حيث يجمع عرض ’هامر‘ بين الرقص والمسرح، ليقدم لنا تجربةً تعكس ديناميكيات المجتمع، ويثبت أن الرقص لا يتوقف يومًا عن إعادة ابتكار نفسه، وصولاً إلى يومنا هذا.

ENG. Tommy Pascal is a dancer at the Béjart Ballet Lausanne and the Ballet Preljocaj. He ended his career as a dancer in 2007 to devote himself to making dance and music films.
