ENG. Words Left Unspoken is a captivating documentary telling the life story of international public speaker and stand-up comedian Joze Piranian, who spent the first 20 years of his life avoiding speaking at all costs. We follow his reckoning with his severe stutter and journey of self-love.
From baring his soul on stage to becoming a global voice for resilience and inclusion, Joze embarks on a poetic journey of healing. Returning to Lebanon, he confronts silences of the past and opens long-closed conversations with his family. The film delicately explores invisible disability, identity, masculinity, and the unspoken weight of generational trauma.

“كلمات صامتة”هو فيلمٌ وثائقيٌ مؤثرٌ يتتبع خطى المُحاضر الدولي والكوميدي جوزيه بيرانيان، الذي أمضى السنوات العشرين الأولى من حياته وهو يتجنّب الكلام لكثرة تلعثمه أثناء الحديث. يرافقه الفيلم في مسيرته نحو تقبّل الذات واستعادة صوته. من المسرح الذي حوّل جوزيه على خشبته ضعفه إلى قوةٍ، إلى محاضراته المُلهمة عن الصلابة والشمول، يصطحبنا هذا الأخير داخل حياته الخاصة أثناء رحلة العلاج. وعند العودة إلى بلدة الأم لبنان، يضع نفسه وجهًا إلى وجه مع الكلمات الصامتة التي تسود العائلات ويدخل، بعد طول انتظار، في حواراتٍ ما كان في الماضي ليجرأ على التطرق إليها. يُعالج الفيلم، بكثيرٍ من الحساسية، مواضيع عميقة مثل الإعاقات الخفيّة والصحة العقلية والرجولة والإرث العاطفي.

Words Left Unspoken est un documentaire bouleversant qui retrace le parcours de Joze Piranian, conférencier international et humoriste, qui a passé les vingt premières années de sa vie à éviter de parler, en raison d’un bégaiement sévère. On le suit dans son cheminement vers l’acceptation de soi et la réappropriation de sa voix.
De la scène où il transforme sa vulnérabilité en force, à ses interventions inspirantes sur la résilience et l’inclusion, Joze nous entraîne dans une quête intime de guérison. De retour au Liban, son pays natal, il affronte les non-dits familiaux et initie enfin les conversations qu’il n’avait jamais osé avoir. Le film aborde avec délicatesse des thèmes puissants : handicap invisible, santé mentale, masculinité et héritage émotionnel.

ENG. Josiane Blanc is a writer, director, and producer for film and television whose work explores themes of social justice. Named one of Playback Magazine’s 10 Talents to Watch, she has created acclaimed projects including the documentaries Tales of Ordinary Fatphobia, Loud & Here, Words Left Unspoken, and the short-form series Ainsi va Manu/Hogtown. Her work has earned over 50 nominations and 20 awards worldwide, including Best Film, Best Screenplay, and five Best Director honors.

جوزيان بلان، كاتبة سيناريو ومخرجةٌ ومنتجةٌ في مجال السينما والتلفاز. تغوص أعمالها المُبدعة في المواضيع التي تتعلّق بالعدالة الاجتماعية. اختيرت ضمن قائمة مجلة ’بلاي باك‘ لأفضل عشر مواهب تستحق المتابعة وهي ذيّلت باسمها العديد من المشاريع الناجحة، من بينها الأفلام الوثائقية Tales of Ordinary Fatphobia “حكايات رهاب السمنة العادي” و Loud & Here  “صاخبٌ هنا” و Words Left Unspoken “كلماتٌ صامتة”، بالإضافة إلى المسلسل القصير Ainsi va Manu/Hogtown “مانو وأحوالها/هوغتاون”. وقد رُشّحت أعمالها إلى أكثر من 50 جائرة وحصدت 20 جائرةً، من بينها جائرة أفضل فيلم وأفضل سيناريو وخمس مرّات جائرة أفضل إخراج.

FR. Josiane Blanc est scénariste, réalisatrice et productrice pour le cinéma et la télévision. Son travail créatif explore des thèmes liés à la justice sociale. Nommée parmi les 10 talents à surveiller par Playback Magazine, elle a signé plusieurs projets remarqués, dont les documentaires Tales of Ordinary Fatphobia, Loud & Here, Words Left Unspoken, ainsi que la série courte Ainsi va Manu/Hogtown. Son œuvre a reçu plus de 50 nominations et 20 prix, dont celui de Meilleur film, Meilleur scénario et cinq fois celui de Meilleure réalisation.
